If you want to create a warm and cosy scent at home, then have a go at making your own wax melts.

MELTING POT: Wax melts are a fantastic low-cost alternative to pricey scented candles.
To make them, simply heat wax with scented oils in a pan then pour into a mould and leave to cool.

SCRAP HEAP: Do not let half-used or broken candles go to waste.
Save leftover wax from burnt candles and, once you’ve collected enough, melt them together to craft melts.

COLOURFUL IDEAS: Why not use natural ingredients from your kitchen to colour your melts?
Turmeric gives a warm yellow tone, while cinnamon adds a brownish tint.
It’s budget-friendly and adds a lovely seasonal touch.
TRAY SAVER: You don’t need expensive moulds, as silicone ice-cube or cake trays can do the trick just as well.
