Rapid Action Force deployed after VHP and Bajrang Dal protest over social media post in Karnataka's Mangaluru

The Rapid Action Force has been deployed in Mangaluru to maintain order after a protest by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal workers over a social media post. Authorities in Surat and Vadodara have also taken extensive security measures for Eid-e-Milad celebrations, which coincide with Ganpati Visarjan. In Mumbai, the Eid-e-Milad holiday has been rescheduled to avoid conflict.
