She took to her TikTok page @sarapotterhair to share a super quick tutorial on how to transform your hair and it has since gone viral with over 2.7 million views.

Sara says the tutorial is for the “girlies with zero volume in their hair.”

Sara first starts off by having her hair in a middle parting and separating a small chunk of hair at the front of either side of her face.

She then puts the rest of her hair behind her shoulders before getting a round hair brush.

Sara then also puts a heat protecting foam in the two side parts of her hair before getting the round brush and a hairdryer.

She then brushes her hair out whilst ensuring she keeps the hair wraps round the brush and repeats.

Sara finishes the styling by rolling the hair around the brush and using the hair dryer to blow heat on it for a couple of seconds before unwrapping the hair and letting it fall back.

Her hair is clearly more volumized around her face.

Sara’s viral video had over 150 people rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts and ask further questions.

One beauty fan wrote: “What do you recommend for extremely oily hair.. like overnight?

“And yes I’ve tried hair ‘training’.”

Sara replied: “I would make sure you’re not using a shampoo that leaves residue behind on your hair – anything hydrating/ strength it will weigh your hair down.

“Have you tried colour wow shampoo? I’ve been loving [it]!”

Another asked: “Does it feel like there’s a product in it after?”

I’ve just recently swapped to that and wow I see such a difference in how long my hair lasts between washes

To which Sara replied: “Literally not at all – it’s amazing!”

Many expressed how they found it difficult to use a round brush.

One wrote: “I cannot round brush to save my life.”

But Sara replied: “Just follow exactly what I did, you will get there.”

Hair loss tips

We can lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day, according to the NHS.

It is not usually something to worry about, but occasional it can be a sign of a medical concern.

These include illness, stress, cancer treatment, weight loss and iron deficiency.

The NHS advises to book an appointment with your GP to see if you can get to the cause of it.

Experts at American Academy of Dermatology Association also recommend to eat healthy, limit curling irons and only use them for special occasions.

They also recommend using a gentle shampoo, and make use of leave-in conditioners.

Others found that the hair style didn’t last long in their hair but Sara had an additional suggestion.

One wrote: “Mine drops after five mins.”

And Sara replied: “Maybe try to pin it for a while to set?

“Mines super fine so it doesn’t last all day being super bouncy but does lie nicely for the full day!”

Just try to limit heat as much as possible

Another said: “I have fine shoulder length hair.

“I’m searching for how to make day two or three without washing look and feel good!

“It gets so greasy and I swear dry shampoo hates me.”

And the hair enthusiast replied by writing: “Have you tried the colour wow colour security shampoo?

“I’ve just recently swapped to that and wow I see such a difference in how long my hair lasts between washes!

“And I love the living proof dry shampoo.”

Sara also explained how to help breakage and “flyaways” that can happen at the top of the head.

She wrote: “Just try to limit heat as much as possible!

“I would use hairspray and a comb to try to tame as much as poss but defo reduce heat if you have a lot of damage.”

Hair thickening tips

Scalp Massage: Regular scalp massages can stimulate blood flow to the hair follicles, promoting hair growth. Use your fingertips to gently massage your scalp in circular motions for a few minutes each day.

Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner: Opt for products specifically designed to add volume and thickness. Look for ingredients like biotin, collagen, and keratin, which can help strengthen and plump up your hair.

Avoid Heavy Products: Steer clear of heavy conditioners and styling products that can weigh your hair down. Instead, use lightweight, volumizing mousses or sprays.

Blow-Dry Upside Down: Flip your head upside down while blow-drying to add volume at the roots. Use a round brush to lift the hair as you dry it, focusing on the roots for extra lift.

Dry Shampoo: Not just for freshening up between washes, dry shampoo can also add texture and volume to your hair. Spray it at the roots and work it in with your fingers for an instant lift.

Haircut and Style: A good haircut can make a world of difference. Layers can add volume, while certain styles, like a blunt bob, can give the illusion of thicker hair. Consult with your hairdresser for the best cut for your hair type.

Diet and Supplements: A healthy diet rich in vitamins and minerals is crucial for hair health. Foods high in biotin, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids can promote hair growth. You might also consider taking a hair supplement, but always consult with a healthcare professional first.

Avoid Heat Damage: Excessive use of heat styling tools can damage your hair and make it look thinner. Try to limit the use of straighteners, curling irons, and hot rollers, and always use a heat protectant spray when you do use them.

Use a Thickening Serum or Spray: There are many products on the market designed to thicken hair strands. Apply a thickening serum or spray to damp hair before styling for an added boost.

Sleep on Silk: Swap your cotton pillowcase for a silk one. Silk is gentler on your hair, reducing friction and breakage, which can help maintain your hair’s thickness.

Avoid Tight Hairstyles: Pulling your hair back tightly can cause breakage and hair loss over time. Opt for looser styles and use gentle hair ties to minimise damage.
