‘The chemistry is sizzling!’ say Strictly fans as they back soap star and pro dancer partner to WIN show
STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have all said the same thing about one pair on the BBC show.
Viewers think that EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick, 30, and pro dancer Michelle Tsiakkas’ ‘chemistry is sizzling’ – and have backed them to WIN the competition.
Many have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts.
One said: “MICHELLE AND JAMIE I’M OBSESSED.”
Another added: “Oh god I’m shipping Jamie and his partner.”
A third chimed in: “There’s definitely chemistry there.”
“Yeah, it was pretty instant, especially from his side. He seemed delighted to have Michelle,” a fourth wrote.
A firth added: “I’m fully serious lmao. The chemistry is fire.”
Jamie is best known for playing Jay Brown in BBC’s EastEnders.
He’s been on the hit soap since 2006.
Back in July The Sun revealed that he had signed up to Strictly.
The actor won the festive Strictly special last year with Nancy Xu.
A TV insider said: “Although an EastEnders actor is on Strictly every year, this is the first time a performer on the festive special has gone directly into the competition.
“Producers and viewers were blown away by Jamie’s dancing.
“It’s not clear yet whether he will take a break from the soap or if he’ll juggle dance rehearsals with doing scenes for the soap.”
However other Strictly fans have since insisted “we have our winner” because of his win at Christmas.

One said on Reddit: “We’ve seen on the Christmas special that he’s a great dancer. I’m predicting he’ll be a finalist. He might even win.
“The pattern in Strictly tends to be the alternate gender winning from the gender the year before. Ellie won last year, prior to Ellie, Hamza won, prior to him, Rose won…. you get the drift.”
Another person questioned: “Then why did he do the Christmas special if he was just going to do the main show anyway?? I thought the excuse for switching back to new celebs for the Christmas special was that they couldn’t fit Strictly in their schedules.”
Other fans have been left confused on why Jamie wasn’t put with his previous partner.
One user wrote: “I have no idea why they didn’t put Nancy and Jamie together!!”
Another added: “Not going to lie, I really wanted Nancy to be with Jamie again! But, I’m 100% sure Jamie and Michelle will be amazing.”
