Manoj Kumar Verma made new commissioner of Kolkata Police, Vineet Goyal removed

Senior IPS officer Manoj Kumar Verma has been appointed as the new commissioner of Kolkata Police, replacing Vineet Goyal. The change follows criticism of Goyal's handling of a recent case involving the rape and murder of a doctor. Verma previously served as ADG and IGP (Law & Order).
