Ben Whishaw Thinks He'll Be Recast for New James Bond Movie, But Would Reprise Role of Q If Asked!

Ben Whishaw is expecting to be recast in the upcoming James Bond movie.

The 43-year-old actor has played the role of Q in the past three 007 movies, beginning with 2012′s Skyfall alongside Daniel Craig.

“I don’t think I’m going to be in the next one,” he said in an interview with the BBC. “I think they’re going to start all over again, and with a new cast, a completely new cast. I think that’s my hunch, but I don’t know. I have no idea.”

It is not unusual for the cast to rotate with new Bonds, and with Daniel stepping away from the title role, this would be a natural start for a new casting cycle.

He added, “I think it might need a new lease of life and a whole new group of people. But if they asked me, I would do it, of course.”

It looks like Ben could be correct that they’re planning an all new cast, as there’s a rumor that an actress auditioned for the role of M, played by Ralph Fiennes in the past 3 movies.
