When do Spurs play in the Carabao Cup?

The Carabao Cup could be a welcome distraction for Spurs on the back of their poor start to the Premier League campaign, with the Lilywhites having won one and lost two of their first four games.

Postecoglou has been adamant that Tottenham could win silverware this season, thus helping him preserve his managerial record of having won trophies in his second season in all the clubs he has been at (Sky Sports).

The League Cup undoubtedly provides the club’s best chance of getting their hands on a trophy and ending their 16-year trophy drought.

The competition also gives Postecoglou a chance to rotate his troops as the Australian would be keen to avoid a repeat of last year, when Spurs suffered a whole host of injuries around November that left them severely depleted.

Will Ange play the youngsters against Coventry?

When asked if we might catch a glimpse of Bergvall, Gray and perhaps Moore at the Coventry Building Society Arena, the Spurs boss said (via Alasdair Gold): “You can see them. Yeah, they might even be on the pitch mate. Yeah, they’re ready to play and we’re keen to get them some game time.

“That’s why we brought them to the club. They’re training really well and the games haven’t gone the way we wanted in terms of giving them some more exposure but we always knew that this is the period where it starts.

“Not just between now and the next international break but post that, probably until the end of January we’re going to have a really busy schedule and they’re going to play a big part in that.”

With Bissouma injured, Gray will likely start in the middle of the park alongside Pape Sarr and I would not be surprised if Bergvall is given the nod to start as the number ten.

We will also likely see Ben Davies, Radu Dragusin, Djed Spence and Timo Werner get some game time.
