We’re like Man City (kind of) (2 replies)
What’s great now is I think opposition teams will find themselves in the same situation that PL teams find when they play Man City home or away. Do they…
A) sit back and absorb pressure but then inevitably succumb to a 1 or 2 nil defeat, some may pull
It off and come away with a draw but the majority most likely won’t.
Or
B) try and play their own front style and put us on the back foot, which may work to gain an early advantage but the also makes them more open to us and they won’t be able to susitain it and as we saw with Wrexham on Monday our quality will eventually be too much.
WE now dictate how the opposition thinks and how they set up as we dictate how the game is played. We play our own way regardless, we might make personal changes to suit opposition but our philosophy stays the same.
Do I think we will lose a game this season? Of course but it’s going to take an off day or an absolute heroic opposition performance for anyone to get anything off us this season.
What a team we have got and what a manager.
