Penguins make early roster cuts
Several young players sent back to OHL today
The Penguins made their first batch of roster cuts today, sending six young players back to the Ontario Hockey League.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have reduced their training camp roster to 64 players, it was announced today by President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Kyle Dubas.
The following players have been assigned to their respective junior teams:
- F Justin Cloutier – Soo Greyhounds (OHL)
- F Cooper Foster – Ottawa 67’s (OHL)
- D Caeden Carlisle – Soo Greyhounds (OHL)
- D Donovan McCoy – Sudbury Wolves (OHL)
- D Emil Pieniniemi – Kingston Frontenacs (OHL)
- G Charlie Schenkel – Soo Greyhounds (OHL)
The Pens have a game tonight in Buffalo and then an off day tomorrow. When practice resumes on Monday they are scheduled to go from three groups down to two, a good sign further roster cuts will take place at some point in the coming days.
