Four-star forward London Jemison picks Alabama
By ADAM ZAGORIA
London Jemison, the four-star forward from St. Thomas More (CT) and Expressions Elite, is headed to the SEC.
The 6-foot-8 forward chose Alabama over Kansas and Louisville on Saturday. He visited all three recently: Kansas (Aug. 29-31), Alabama (Sept. 6-9) and Louisville (Sept. 13-15).
“I will be continuing my athletic and academic career at the University of Alabama,” he said during his 247Sports announcement. “They’re great with plug-in wings that play similar to me. Winning definitely is important to me, they were just in the Final Four, so that was a big turn-on for me when it comes to that school.”
“I like the coaching staff a lot, they recruit me really well,” he previously told ZAGSBLOG. “[Assistant] Coach Preston [Murphy], I have a great relationship with him. I definitely like their play style a lot and how they like to play their freshmen.”
Jemison is ranked the No. 37 overall prospect in the 2025 class by 247Sports and the No. 11 power forward.
“I think I’m a high level wing,” Jemison previously told ZAGSBLOG. “I can do multiple things, shoot, pass, dribble, create, rebound pretty well too, run the floor. I’m just a versatile wing that can guard one-through-four. I can do whatever you need on the court, bringing whatever coach needs for sure.”
St. Thomas More coach Jere Quinn told ZAGSBLOG:
“London Jemison has been a pleasure to work with and get to know. He’s a fabulous young man. He comes from a great family. He’s a wonderful player but better teammate. He’s been fortunate to have had an excellent foundation from his time with John Mirabella at Northwest Catholic.
“His improvement and ascension nationally over the past two years is admirable. He is multi-dimensional as a defensive player capable of guarding all positions and he’s a triple threat offensively at the rim , the mid range and from the three. He’s a tireless worker with high goals and aspirations. I perceive a relatively smooth transition as he enters the intercollegiate level. It will be fascinating to watch his continued development as he develops and matures. He is just scratching his surface.”
