Albany man sentenced for trafficking meth, fentanyl

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The U.S. Attorney's Office announced that Brandon Bartley, 26, of Albany, was sentenced on Tuesday to 15 years in prison for trafficking large quantities of drugs and for possessing dozens of firearms. Bartley pleaded guilty back in May.

As part of his plea, Bartley confessed to conspiring to distribute fentanyl, meth, and cocaine from his apartment on Western Avenue in Albany. On May 23, 2023, law enforcement executed a search warrant at his residence and recovered over 15 pounds of meth pills, over 14 ounces of fentanyl pills, more than 24 ounces of cocaine, and 34 guns, including a loaded handgun.

Two of the other three defendants in this case, Anthony Luizzi and Devon Newsome, both pleaded guilty earlier this year. The final hearing for the last defendant, Jabree Jones, is scheduled for December 17.

In addition to his sentence, Bartley was also ordered to pay a $5,000 fine and serve a five-year term of post-release supervision.
