Gahanna building evacuated due to gas leak

GAHANNA, Ohio (WCMH) -- A gas leak is causing apartments and businesses in one Gahanna building to be evacuated Tuesday evening.

A building at 151 Mill Street, part of The Residences at Creekside, is being evacuated, according to the Gahanna Division of Police in a social media post made at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Police are urging people to avoid the area as crews work to stop the leak. Columbia Gas of Ohio is on the scene, police said.

According to Mifflin Township, Mill Street is closed between Granville Street and Carpenter Road.
