Celebrities Are Getting Bratty at the Sweat Tour

Lorde and Charli XCX worked it out on the remix, and the former foes took their friendship to new bratty heights at Madison Square Garden on Monday night. During “Girl, So Confusing,” the pop star sent shock waves through the crowd when she brought out the Melodrama singer to perform their diaristic remix live. Charli isn’t much of a minimalist, so she also brought out surprise guest Addison Rae to top off a quintessential New York night of bras, camp, and choreography.

The purveyor of brat summer is skilled at convening groups of hot people and celebrities everywhere she goes. So it’s no surprise that Charli’s Sweat Tour, co-headlined by Troye Sivan, has been populated by everyone from the First Daughter of Bushwick to the city’s original downtown “It” girl. Below, a list of all the famous people who were probably singing “can we do a little key?” in the audience so far.

Addison Rae

The TikToker turned pop princess made a surprise appearance at the Sweat Tour’s Madison Square Garden stop. While the audience seemed to lose its shit over the 23-year-old, it wasn’t totally unexpected given that Rae is featured singing (well, mostly shrieking) on a remix of “von dutch” and has performed with Charli before.

Ella Emhoff

Kamala Harris’s textile-making stepdaughter was in a suite at the New York show alongside Bailey Goldberg, who outfitted the duo in matching brat beanies. They also drank bright-green appletinis. Fitting!

Chloë Sevigny

Can a concert be a part of the cultural canon if Chloë Sevigny isn’t there? New York’s downtown darling graced the Sweat Tour with her presence on Monday night alongside actor Cooper Koch. Sevigny had previously collaborated with Charli on her “360” music video, in which she made a quick cameo with fellow “It” girls including Rachel Sennott, Julia Fox, and Chloe Cherry.

Kyle MacLachlan

Babygirl himself made an appearance at the Toronto show earlier this month with Benny Drama and Kaia Gerber. The actor has posted a number of TikToks stomping around to various Charli bangers and even called “von dutch” his song of the summer.

Hari Nef

Fellow “360” video vixen Hari Nef also seemed to be in the building on Monday night. The actress posted a few videos to her Instagram Story, calling Charli, Sivan, and Rae “POP STARS” while celebrating “bi visibility day.”

Emily Ratajkowski

EmRata also showed up at MSG. She posted a video of the new holy trinity onstage and captioned it “look at these mf pop stars.” She then posted a car selfie in a brat tee, which I’m sure Charli would christen as expert brat behavior.

Kaia Gerber

The model and actress attended the Toronto show alongside MacLachlan and Benito Skinner. Normally, I would say that’s an unorthodox friend group, but the trio are currently working on a Skinner-written Amazon Prime comedy called Overcompensating. Plus, you’d have to be a real sociopath not to get along with Kyle MacLachlan.

Benny Drama

This is a beautiful photo. I recommend framing it and hanging it above your nightstand.

George Daniel

Charli said “I wanna dance with George,” and boy, did she get her wish. Here’s some fan footage of the 1975 member and Charli’s fiancé, George Daniel, headbanging in the VIP section at MSG.

Creator of the Apple dance

Kelley Heyer also got to hang out in VIP during the New York show. Heyer is the creator behind the viral Apple dance, which you’ve seen attempted by a disturbing number of celebrities, from Lisa Rinna to Chase Stokes.
