The Maine’s ‘The Sweet Sixteen Tour’ in Manila: What to expect 

MANILA, Philippines – American band The Maine is returning to Manila for its “The Sweet Sixteen Tour” on September 27 and 28 at the Skydome in SM North EDSA, Quezon City. 

The show is meant to be a celebration of The Maine’s 16th year anniversary as a band. With Manila having two stops on the tour, each night will have a unique setlist. Here’s everything you can expect from the “Into Your Arms” hitmakers’ return to Manila:

Two-night show

The concert will be a free standing/seating event for both days. Here’s a layout of the venue: 

Day 1 on September 27 will start at 8 pm. On this show day, The Maine will be performing its “Sweet 16” set, which will see the band perform songs from nine different albums. 

Meanwhile, Day 2 on September 28 will start at 7:30 pm. For this night, The Maine will be performing Can’t Stop Won’t Stop in full. The 2008 album has a total of 12 songs, and is one of the band’s most popular records to date. 

On Day 2, there will be an exclusive after-party DJ set. Note that you would need to purchase the General Admission+ (GA+) ticket to be able to stay for the after-party. 

On September 16, the band teased a glimpse of the songs that concertgoers from Manila and Singapore can expect to hear at their shows. Among the tracks listed are old favorites like “Everything I Ask For,” “We All Roll Along,” “Girls Do What They Want,” “I Must Be Dreaming,” and “Into Your Arms.” 

Securing tickets 

Tickets to the shows may be purchased online via Pulp Tickets. As of this writing, only Day 2 GA and GA+ tickets are available. Prices are as follows: 

• Day 2 GA – P4,500
• GA+ P8,800

Day 2 GA tickets give ticket holders access to the September 28 show, while the GA+ ticket acts as a two-day pass that grants ticket holders entry into both concert days, and the after-party on Day 2. 

Composed of members John O’Callaghan, Jared Monaco, Garrett Nickelsen, Patrick Kirch, and Kennedy Brock, The Maine was formed in 2007 in Arizona. The genre-bending ensemble is best known for songs like “Into Your Arms,” “Right Girl,” “Don’t Stop Now,” “Black Butterflies and Déjà Vu,” “Don’t Come Down,” and “Everything I Ask For,” among many others.

Throughout their 16 years as a band, they have released a total of nine albums, which includes Can’t Stop Won’t Stop (2008), Black & White (2010), Pioneer (2011), American Candy (2015), and The Maine (2023).
