THIS Top Bollywood actress followed Yuvraj Singh to Australia on cricket tour, she is not Kareena Kapoor or Preity Zinta, Indian batter recalls wearing her pink ‘slip-ons’
Former India batter Yuvraj Singh had his fair share of affairs with Bollywood actresses before settling down with one – Hazel Keech. Yuvraj was known to date actresses like Kim Sharma and Riya Sen.
One of his less-known romantic dalliance was with a current top Bollywood actress – Deepika Padukone in the year 2008. It is believed that Deepika planned her shoot in a way to spend more time with Yuvraj in Australia during the filming of ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ with Ranbir Kapoor.
Years after those encounters, the former Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings batter opened up on his encounters with presumably Deepika Padukone, without actually naming her in an interview.
“I was dating an actress, I won’t name her; (She is) very good at the moment and very experienced. She was shooting in Adelaide. I told her, listen, let’s not meet for a bit because I’m on Australia tour, and need to focus. She followed me to Canberra in the bus. In two Tests, I didn’t get many runs. And I was like, ‘what are you doing here?’ And she was like, ‘I want to spend time with you’,” Yuvraj said during an appearance on the Club Prairie Fire podcast.
“So, I met her in the night and we began chatting. I told her you need to focus on your career and I need to focus on mine, because I’m on Australia tour and you know what that means. Anyway, we were leaving for Adelaide from Canberra and she packed my suitcase.”

Yuvraj then revealed how her meeting with the ‘actress’ had a rather hilarious ending. “In the morning, I was like ‘where are my shoes’? She said, ‘I packed them’. I asked, ‘How would I go on the bus’? And she said, ‘Wear mine’. She had these pink slip-ons. And I was like, ‘Oh my god’. I had to wear those pink slip-ons, and I was carrying my bag in front of my shoes to hide them. The guys saw it, and they clapped for me. I had to wear pink slip-ons to the airport until I bought flip-flops there,” said Yuvraj.
Yuvraj refused to share the actress’ name on the podcast, but it was widely known that Yuvraj was dating Deepika Padukone at that time between 2007 and 2008 when Yuvraj was on tour down under.
The Punjab southpaw struggled with the bat on that tour of Australia, scoring only 202 runs in 9 matches at an average of 22.44 with 1 fifty as India won the Commonwealth Bank series 2007-08 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
In the Tests preceding the ODI series, Yuvraj Singh failed miserably scoring only 17 runs in 2 Tests at an average of 4.25!
