Zac & Jen Affleck Are Not Related to Ben Affleck, Sources Say Amid 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Claims

Jen Affleck is starring in the Hulu reality series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and she has claimed that her husband Zac Affleck is related to the famous Affleck brothers.

The reality star has said that Zac‘s dad Dave Affleck is first cousins with Ben and Casey Affleck.

“Zac’s dad has [met them], when [Ben] was very little. I’m hoping to meet him one day, too!” Jen told People.

Now, a source tells the same outlet that the reality stars are not actually related to the famous family.

“There’s no relationship. I just don’t think that’s very fair about that either,” the source told People.

The source continued, “So Zac Affleck is her husband. [His father] is David Affleck. Zac’s grandfather is Gordon Affleck. Zac’s great-grandparents — which would [establish] second cousins — his name is Alan Burt Affleck. Then Ben’s dad is Tim Affleck. His grandfather is Myron Junior. His great-grandparent is Myron Senior. No, Alan Burt and Myron Senior aren’t brothers or anything.”

While Zac‘s family can be traced back to England, Ben and Casey‘s family can be traced back to Scotland.
