How staying home during Covid lockdown cooled down the Moon's temperature by around -250 degrees, says new study
Indian researchers have discovered a link between the global Covid-19 lockdowns of 2020 and a decrease in the Moon's night-time surface temperatures. Using data from NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, they found an 8-10 Kelvin drop in temperatures, attributed to reduced Earth's outgoing radiation during the lockdown period.
