Downtown Pittsfield to host 2 Halloween-themed events

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10)-- In an effort to celebrate the Halloween season, the Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. will host two events on October 19. The "Downtown Pittsfield... It's Alive" event will feature a Kids' Zone and a Night Circus.

The event will run from noon to 7 p.m. throughout downtown. the Kids' Zone will run from noon to 3 p.m. on the St. Jospeh's Chruch lawn and the Night Circus will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on North Street, School Street and Dunham Mall.

The free events will feature a variety of activities for all ages. Local vendors will also be available for guests to purchase items.

The Kids’ Zone will feature arts and crafts, games, giveaways and interactive opportunities. Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. will also host a Halloween canvas painting activity.

All Kids’ Zone activities are free, and costumes are encouraged. There will be a bake sale on site for snacks.

The Night Circus will feature live music, food and craft beverages, tarot readings and more activities, directed towards adults. Additionally, the Opal Raven Cirque and Rosebud Red, two performing groups will perform fire dancing and belly dancing.

The rain location for the Downtown Pittsfield… It’s Alive! Kids’ Zone will be inside the McKay Street Parking Garage. The rain location for the Night Circus will be Hot Plate Brewing Company.
