Dancing On Ice fans convinced show has signed Ruth Langsford after Eamonn Holmes split

DANCING On Ice fans have become convinced Ruth Langsford will be joining the show for next year’s series.

The cast of the upcoming series of the ITV competition will be announced across the course of this week, with one contestant being confirmed today on the Loose Women panel.

But some viewers believe that, rather than a guest instead it will be one of the panellists revealing themselves – specifically head panellist Ruth.

Ruth has been on a glam makeover mission over the last few weeks after splitting from Eamonn Holmes back in May.

The couple shockingly announced the end of their 33-year relationship and 14-year marriage, after secretly splitting months before filing for divorce.

Ruth then maintained a quiet profile, before re-emerging with new looks including a QVC style range and a bounce in her step.

She’s since been seen hitting the town with friends for a night out in Manchester, and glamming up for Loose Women’s 25th anniversary shoot in a sparkling silver dress.

On Monday, she made a triumphant comeback for a guest spot on This Morning for the first time in two years, and three years since she and Eamonn left the show.

So fans have come to believe Ruth could be getting her skates on and wearing a string of glam outfits as she continues her winning streak.

So far, four contestants for this year’s Dancing On Ice have been officially confirmed.

Ferne McCann was the first announced name, followed by The Traitors’ Mollie Pearce.

Coronation Street’s Sam Aston confirmed his appearance on This Morning while dressed as a snowman, with Sir Steve Redgrave being one of the most shocking so far.

The Sun has also revealed Charlie Brookes – famed for playing the evil Janine Butcher on EastEnders – will also be in the running.

Hollyoaks’ Chelsee Healy will also be announced in the line-up in running dates.

The rest of the cast will be confirmed in the upcoming days, before they head into practice with their professional partners.

The live shows will kick off at the beginning of 2025.
