Punter wins £16,400 from £10 despite WRONG selection thanks to Paddy Power promotion which cost bookies £1.6m

One exceptional Paddy Power punter pocketed a massive £16,400 from a tenner despite one of their selections LOSING!
Let me explain…
The plucky punter placed £10 on a six-leg Multi-Match Bet Builder for Sunday’s Premier League matches between Ipswich Town and Aston Villa, and Manchester United vs Tottenham.
The bettor stuck the bet on at odds of 1639/1, meaning their £10 stake would return a life-changing £16,400.
Things couldn’t have started better with Villa talent Morgan Rogers netting after 15 minutes having been backed to score or assist.
Defenders Lucas Digne and Jacob Greaves were then carded to complete the first three legs of this customer’s six-leg acca.
Our mystery punter just needed three more selections at Old Trafford and they didn’t have to wait long for Diogo Dalot’ first-half booking.
But then… disaster strikes.

The bettor had backed Destiny Udogie to be carded, but the Italian left-back was taken off at the break by Ange Postecoglou.
Now with most bookmakers, the dream would be over.
But Paddy Power offer something called Super Sub, which means the selection was changed to Udogie’s replacement – Djed Spence.
Spence quickly obliged with a 54th minute yellow card, leaving the bettor needing Dominic Solanke to score or assist to complete the acca.
That, as we know, came in style in the 77th-minute when turning in Pape Matar Sarr’s headed flick at a corner.
Paddy Power have revealed that over 9.5k other bets were switched from Udogie to Spence on Sunday afternoon using their Super Sub offer, costing them an absolute fortune – £1.6million to be precise!
