“I definitely want a facelift,” Katherine told Vogue Williams on her Never Live it Down podcast.
“Very soon. I just got my mum one for her birthday!”
When Vogue asked her how much she shelled out for the facelift, Katherine admitted it was around “50 grand”, but Vogue noted: “I suppose it’s a new face!”
However, Vogue also said that while the “woman who does all her skin treatments” suggested she should have a facelift at 45, she insisted “I think you can go too young”.
“I’ve seen your mum, and I think your jawline, your genetic jawline, remains snatched for a long time,” Katherine told Vogue.
“Mine is weak, and my mum did need the facelift. I’m sorry.”
Katherine added that her mum Julie was 63, but added it was a “good age to get a facelift“.
“You start to get what’s known as vagina neck,” Katherine said.
“In some circles!
“(But) the neck is the most dramatic.
“My mum’s neck is better than my neck!”
However, Katherine’s mum is still recovering from the procedure, as she said: “She still can’t feel her face. It’s numb.
“It’s actually the least painful thing.
“She’s absolutely delighted. Yeah, she looks good.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Katherine said she wishes other celebrities would be more transparent about the work they’ve had done.
What does having a facelift involve?
A FACELIFT, also known as a rhytidectomy, involves lifting up and pulling back the skin on the face, to make it look tighter and smoother.
While people often get a facelift to reduce wrinkles on their visage, it can have a massive impact on the neck too, and can completely remove “jowls”.
It doesn’t come cheap though, as you can expect to pay up to around £10,000 for a face and neck lift in the UK, according to the NHS.
The procedure is usually done under general anaesthetic, and can take up to three hours depending on what’s being done.
Patients can expect to stay overnight in hospital following the facelift, and it can result in some painful recovery time afterwards.
“I wish someone like Kim Kardashian allegedly would say, like, ‘Yeah, I had a deep plane facelift at 35. And this is the guy who did it.
‘And he actually charged me $800,000’.
“And then I go, ‘Okay, so that’s the guy. But I don’t have $800,000!’
“I just wish that.”
