Stacey Solomon’s future on Renovation Rescue revealed weeks after she bagged NTA for Sort Your Life Out series

DIY queen Stacey Solomon is on a high after her BBC show Sort Your Life Out bagged a National Television Award last month.

But I can reveal she will be saying goodbye to her Channel 4 programme, Renovation Rescue — which is a surprise given who is behind it.

The prestige programme is from Hello Sunshine, a production company headed by movie star Reese Witherspoon.

A TV insider said: “Stacey had a great time making Renovation Rescue but the fact she isn’t doing a second series allows her to focus on her projects with the Beeb.

“They’ve been a huge success and the NTA win is evidence that the viewing public love what she does.”

But in a twist of fate, just as Stacey leaves Channel 4, the channel is giving a new show to her fella, Joe Swash.

He is pairing up with bestselling food author and social media sensation Suzanne Mulholland — also known as The Batch Lady — in new six-parter Buy It, Batch It, Cook It.

Together they will meet a broad mix of families who need advice on how to make their food budgets go further, their menus more organised, and their meals better.

And their plan is simple — to cut meal prep times down to just one hour a week by batch cooking, freezing, and storing multiple meals.

Joe said: “Suzanne and I are hoping to give households the tools to not just save the pennies and the pounds, but also have more time to spend on being together as a family.”

And with Stacey giving up her renovation show, she and Joe will have more time together too.
