Pezeshkian warns Israeli Prime Minister against escalating war with Iran

As the U.S. assesses the failure of Iran’s rocket attack on Israel, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned Prime Minister Netanyahu to refrain from further aggression.

Pezeshkian, referencing the recent attacks, stated, “This is just a fraction of our capability. Do not engage with Iran.”

Pezeshkian described the attacks as “based on legitimate rights and aimed at peace and security for Iran and the region,” adding that Israel received a decisive response.

He emphasized, “Netanyahu should understand that Iran is not war-seeking, but it will stand firmly against any threat.”

In response, the Israeli army announced that Tuesday night’s rocket attack by Iran was serious and would have consequences.

An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed that Israel would undoubtedly respond to these attacks.

Amir Ohana, the Speaker of the Israeli Parliament, shared a post by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on X. In it, Khamenei warned that the resistance’s strikes on Israel would become more intense. Ohana reposted the message in Persian, saying, “Say goodbye.”

U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated in a press conference that Iran’s attack was unsuccessful and ineffective. He added that it was too early to discuss the U.S. response to the attack.

Sullivan stressed that “this attack will have severe consequences” and mentioned that the U.S. would coordinate with Israel regarding its response. He also confirmed that U.S. forces assisted the Israeli military in intercepting and destroying the Iranian missiles.

Iran launched nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday night, claiming it was a response to the deaths of Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas leader, and Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah leader.

Iran had previously threatened to retaliate against Israel’s attacks. Netanyahu warned the Iranian people yesterday that the end of the Islamic Republic’s regime is near and that Israel would respond to Iran’s direct attacks.
