Topeka burger restaurant shutting down in October

TOPEKA (KSNT) - A restaurant in southwest Topeka is calling it quits in the Capital City by announcing it will close for the last time later this month.

The Burger Stand Topeka announced on social media Tuesday, Oct. 1 that it will be shutting down after being in service for 13 years. The restaurant will stay open until Oct. 26.

"We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way, and it has been a true pleasure to serve this amazing community.

We couldn’t be prouder of our staff, whose dedication to great food and service has made this journey so special. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives and memories."

People are encouraged to visit the business until its final day. Customers looking for the same quality food can also visit the Lawrence Burger Stand location, at 803 Massachusetts Street, as well.

The restaurant moved to the Brookwood Shopping Center in May 2021. It was previously located in the College Hill area near Washburn University.
