Dancing On Ice sign up top comedian for 2025 series as he admits ‘I can’t skate at all’

DANCING On Ice has signed up comedian Josh Jones for the 2025 series as he admitted today “I’ve can’t skate at all”.

The stand-up comedian from Manchester was announced on radio station Gaydio this morning.

He told fans today ‘Dancing on Ice is no laughing matter!’[/caption]

He told listeners: “I’ve not got any skating experience whatsoever.

“I did it once for a date years ago and I wasn’t very good.

“I was holding onto the railings the entire time and we aren’t together now.

“My dancing isn’t great either, for a gay man I have no rhythm, I struggle to clap along to a beat so this will be fun.”

Josh confirmed his spot over on Instagram, telling his followers: “Dancing on Ice is no laughing matter!”

DOI judge Oti Mabuse was one of the first to reach out from the series, writing: “This is great, welcome Josh! Can’t wait to see this!”

Dancing On Ice will be his first reality TV stint – but Josh has appeared on a number of panel shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats on E4, Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club and Iain Stirling’s CelebAbility on ITV2.

The Mancunian has also hosted and co-hosted several podcasts, including Hard Sell with Darren Harriott and Dead Drama, a historical gossip podcast.

Josh has signed up alongside a Towie star, EastEnders legend and Corrie favourite.

Traitors star and disability model Mollie Pearce has also confirmed her new telly role on the ice.

She added how she was inspired by BBC Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts, who has a stoma bag like her, and competed on the previous DOI season.

Mollie, who was also born with one hand, added: “It’s my normal, I was born like it.

“I have never let it get in the way before so I’m not going to let it start now.”

She added: “Me and my partner will adapt to it.”

Mollie’s big reveal yesterday came just hours after former Towie star Ferne McCann confirmed she has also joined the line-up in a candid chat on Monday’s Good Morning Britain.

Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave was the third famous face to be announced for DOI, followed by Sam Aston and Charlie Brooks.
