Sol Mamakwa left residential school when he was 15. Now he's going back there for the first time.

In 1985, Sol Mamakwa was forced to attend Stirland Lake Indian Residential school in Northwest Ontario. The school closed in 1991 and he's returned to tour the property, now owned by members of Weagamow or Round Lake First Nation. Watch The Knowing on CBC Gem.
