Fixtures

  • Hibernian Vs. Motherwell - Sat, Oct 5th 2024, 15:00

The Lowdown

The Hibees come into this weekend’s fixture off the back of a spirited performance against Rangers at Ibrox.

Although we were beaten 1-0, Gray's men were unfortunate not to come away with anything, after they created a number of chances and Mykola Kuharevich missed a spot-kick. Gray will be hoping his side can take that performance, alongside previous results, into this weekend’s game.

In our last outing at Easter Road, we ran out 2-0 winners against St Johnstone thanks to goals from Kuharevich and Martin Boyle. On home turf, the Hibees have beaten the Saints, drawn with Dundee, and been beaten by table-toppers Celtic.

We currently sit ninth in the cinch Premiership table with five points from six games.

The Visitors

Motherwell have had a positive start to the 2024/25 William Hill Premiership campaign and currently sit fourth in the league table.

Stuart Kettlewell’s side come into this game off the back of a 2-1 win over St Mirren at Fir Park. They came back from a goal down to take all three points thanks to a brace from 18-year-old Lennon Miller. Both sides ended the game with 10-men, with Dan Casey seeing red for the Well.

Motherwell have won four of their last five games beating Hearts, St Johnstone, Dundee United, and St Mirren in the process.

On their travels, they lost to both Rangers and Aberdeen, but beat St Johnstone.

The aforementioned Lennon Miller is their top scorer this season, along with striker Moses Ebiye, both with four in all competitions.
