Horizon Power Catamarans to Debut PC68 Model at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2024
Horizon Power Catamarans will unveil two of its latest models at the 65th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, taking place from October 30 to November 3, 2024. Horizon will display a brand new PC60 with an on-deck master layout and the 2025 PC68 on the Face Dock, Slip 608. This event marks the PC68 model’s debut at the show.
Introducing the 2025 PC68: Luxury and Efficiency Combined
The PC68 joins Horizon’s lineup, which also includes the PC52, PC60, and custom models. This model combines manageable length with ample interior space. Its 24ft 6in beam provides a spacious aft deck, with a dining area that flows into the main salon. The salon features a large galley to starboard and a comfortable lounge area forward to port.
This PC68 comes with the On-Deck Master configuration. The master stateroom is located forward and filled with natural light from panoramic windows. Steps lead to a large ensuite with dual basins in the port hull. The starboard hull houses a VIP king ensuite and two convertible twin ensuite cabins.
The PC68 also features an innovative flybridge deck layout. The semi-enclosed flybridge includes twin helm chairs, a covered dining and seating area, and a dayhead. Aft, the boat deck has a bar and grill station. The Portuguese Deckoffers versatile lounging or dining options. Powered by twin MAN i6 850hp engines, the PC68 has an impressive 1,850nm range at 9 knots, making it ideal for long-distance cruising.
PC60 Power Catamaran: A New Model for Experienced Owners
Horizon will also display the latest PC60 model. This new model was designed for experienced owners who enjoyed their previous PC60 with an Open Salon layout. The new PC60 features an On-Deck Master configuration, with a VIP cabin and twin cabins in the starboard hull. The port hull contains an additional twin cabin and a large ensuite.
The open flybridge layout offers a helm chair surrounded by raised settees, a wet bar, and a spacious boat deck for tender storage or sunbathing.
Efficiency with Horizon’s Latest Power Package System
Both the PC68 and PC60 models come with Horizon’s new power package system. This system integrates a Victron phosphate battery with a Termodinamica variable speed air conditioning system. It significantly reduces generator use while maintaining a cool and dry interior for nearly 20 hours on battery power alone. This package, now standard on all Horizon Power Catamaran builds, has improved energy efficiency by 84%. It also includes smart features like remote monitoring and auto generator start/stop.
