TikTok Star Arrested in Connection to Therapist Murder
TikTok personality Terryon Ishmael Thomas, known on the platform as "Mr. Prada," has been arrested in connection to the homicide of a Louisiana therapist.
According to WVUE, 20-year-old Thomas was arrested in Dallas on Oct. 1 on charges of aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The suspicion arose after the body of 69-year-old well-known Baton Rouge therapist William Nicholas "Nick" Abraham was found wrapped in a tarp and dumped in a ditch on the side of the road Sept. 29.
Surveillance footage from a store outside the city caught Thomas on camera as he's believed to have been the last person seen driving Abraham's car. When police tried to stop the stolen vehicle in Baton Rouge on Sept. 30, the driver reportedly backed into a police car and fled the scene; the officer later identified at the driver as Thomas out of a lineup.
Investigators are still determining where exactly Abraham's murder occurred and didn't find any evidence of a crime at the former Catholic priest's home. According to Tangipahoa Parish officials, Abraham died from blunt force trauma to the head, neck, and shoulders in a "very physical, very violent death."
Abraham's attorney Jarrett Ambeau was shocked by the gruesome nature of the therapist's death.
"I’m absolutely devastated and completely surprised that something like that could have happened to a man who I believed to be so tender, so gentle, and have such a servant’s heart," Ambeau said.
Thomas will face a judge in Texas for an extradition hearing to determine if he should be transported to Louisiana for his charges in Baton Rouge.
