'07 Not starting after Fuel Pump replacement.
This is my sons car ('07 2.0L) that we bought him almost 2 years ago. Drove fine for a few months, then had a problem with it not wanting to go over 35mph (limp mode?) and then not starting at all. After replacing the crankshaft positioning sensor and both camshaft positioning sensors, the battery, and all the relays under the drivers side mud flap, we finally decided to change the TIPM with a used one of the same model numbers as the original after reading that others had similar problems. It fixed everything after it was installed and all codes were cleared. Fast forward a few months of driving just fine and he gets stranded in a town over an hour away because it wouldn't start, again. I checked for fuel in the tank (he's kinda forgetful), battery voltage, all fuses, and then shot a little starting spray in the intake and it tried to run, so I figured it was a fuel issue and loaded it on the trailer to bring it home. Once home, we checked for voltage at the fuel pump and it was good. So, I ordered a fuel pump, got it installed, and........nothing. The fuel pump is working just fine (got great fuel pressure at the connection to the fuel rail) but now it won't start with ether. Checked all the fuses and relays again and can't find anything bad. I've got voltage on the coil packs but not at the injectors. I just can't seem to find where the problem is and hoping it's not the TIPM again. Any suggestions on where to look? Thank you for any help you can give.
