Scammers swindle Manitoba seniors out of nearly $90K

Two Ontario women have been sentenced to house arrest for their part in a scheme that swindled nine elderly Manitoba victims out of nearly $90,000. The scam involved an unknown man calling elderly victims out of the blue and claiming to be their grandson, saying that he'd been arrested and needed money for bail.
