Longines Expands Flagship Heritage Collection with Three New Moonphase Models

In 2024, Longines continues to celebrate its storied Flagship Heritage collection which was introduced with a moon-phase indication last year by introducing three striking new variations– featuring a refined sunray dial in Havana beige, anthracite, and green. These timepieces, which combine technical innovation with timeless aesthetics, pay homage to the historic roots of the collection, originally launched in 1957.

A hallmark of the Flagship collection, the 18-carat gold medallion embossed on the case back remains a focal point. Depicting a caravel in full sail on a hand-painted enamel sea, this emblem evokes the legacy and craftsmanship the brand with the winged hour glass in its logo is known for.

The stainless-steel case, measuring a versatile 38.5mm, is a testament to understated elegance. Its satin-brushed finish and chamfered lugs make it adaptable to any wrist, while the screw-down case back ensures durability.

At the heart of these new models is the Longines-exclusive L899.5 caliber, a self-winding mechanical movement featuring a moonphase complication. Equipped with a silicon balance-spring and other cutting-edge components, it offers magnetic resistance ten times greater than the ISO 764 standard, along with an impressive 72-hour power reserve.

The domed dials, inspired by the original 1957 Flagship model, stand out with eleven applied markers in rhodium or rose gold, elongated at the 3, 9, and 12 o’clock positions. The hands, plated in rhodium or rose gold and treated with Superluminova for enhanced legibility, harmonously complement the moon and stars on the moon-phase indication, which is framed by a pointer date.

Finishing off the elegant design are the leather straps in brown, anthracite, or black, fitted with a Heritage tongue buckle in stainless steel.

Pricing is marked at $3,050.
