Parliament ratifies Latvia's IEA membership

RIGA, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Latvia's parliament ratified the country's accession to the International Energy Agency (IEA) on Thursday, marking the final step in the process, according to a parliamentary press release.

The accession is expected to bolster Latvia's energy security and support its transition to clean energy. Latvia's Climate and Energy Ministry highlighted that IEA membership will enhance national sec
