Bay look to make it ten games unbeaten
THE Seagulls will attempt to stretch their unbeaten run into double figures when they take to the road again to play Gresford Athletic on Saturday (October 5) at Airbus UK Broughton’s Hollingsworth Group Stadium (2.30pm).
Last week’s thrilling 6-3 victory over league leaders Airbus made it nine league and cup games unbeaten, with 14 goals scored in their last three fixtures.
Gresford have lost six of their nine league games so far, but were 9-0 winners against Prestatyn Town in their recent JD Welsh Cup tie, with Charlie Edge scoring a hat-trick, and were unlucky to lose a tight game 1-0 away to Bangor 1876 last weekend, so cannot be taken lightly.
With players coming back from injury, Bay management duo Mike Wilde and Danny Harrison have some big selection decisions to make, especially with Lloyd Marsh-Hughes and Gwion Dafydd both scoring after coming on as late substitutes against Airbus last Friday.
Meanwhile Will McKinley is enjoying his longest run in the side with five consecutive starts, after progressing from the Under-19s. He has really made the most of his chance and will be hoping to hang onto his place, despite strong competition.
