I-70 ramp closures scheduled for Topeka

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Three ramp closures are planned for I-70 in Topeka this week while crews perform resurfacing work.

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is telling motorists to plan ahead for the closures that are scheduled to take place overnight from the 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. hours.

  • 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Oct. 3.
    • The eastbound I-70 exit ramp to I-470 will be closed. Drivers can take marked detours to Wanamaker Road, to westbound I-70 and on to I-470.
  • 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Oct. 6.
    • The eastbound I-70 exit ramp to Wanamaker Road will be closed. Traffic will be sent to Fairlawn Road, to westbound I-70 and then to Wanamaker Road on a detour.
  • 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Oct. 6.
    • The I-470 ramp onto eastbound I-70 will be closed. Marked detours will take drivers to Wanamaker Road back to eastbound I-70.
