'This infuriates me': Former Trump voter delivers scathing takedown of his election lies

A man who once voted for former President Donald Trump this week said that he would never do so again after determining that Trump lied to his supporters about losing the 2020 presidential election.

Writing on Twitter, self-described Second Amendment advocate Brian Jacobson reacted angrily to a Truth Social post from Trump in which he lashed out at special counsel Jack Smith for his latest court filing that detailed more evidence for the president's alleged crimes in his efforts to illegally remain in power.

"Trump is really mad that people might learn the truth," he began. "This stuff infuriates me because at the time I believed Trump."

He then did a rundown of all the ways that Trump knowingly lied to his supporters about the election and still encouraged them to march to the Capitol, where more than a thousand of them would subsequently face criminal charges after breaking into the building.

"He knew he was losing 3 days prior to the election when his data analysis team reported to the campaign that the in person day of voting was not going to overcome the deficit they had in mail in voting," Jacobson begins. "There were simply not enough votes available in the specific states to make it happen. During that October 31 meeting it was decided that if the vote was close at 11pm Trump would come out and call it stolen in an attempt to force legal challenges that would allow him to stay in power."

He then goes into the so-called "fake elector" scheme and notes that the Trump campaign duped many of the electors into signing paperwork that would subsequently land them in legal hot water.

Jacobson then described how Trump refused to pardon the people who stormed the Capitol on his behalf while he was still in office because it would have very likely resulted in a conviction in the United States Senate.

"He chose his political career over the lives of his supporters that he lied to in order to get them out to DC on J6," he argued. "All of this stuff is out there if you want to read about it. I've posted about it many times in the past. This is why I will never vote for Trump again."
