Latham woman sentenced to 15 years for child sex crime
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The U.S. Attorney's Office announced that Kristy Lynne Koldis, 46, of Latham, was sentenced on Thursday to 15 years in state prison for sexually exploiting a child. Koldis pleaded guilty back in June.
As part of her plea, Koldis admitted to creating and sharing graphic, sexually explicit images of a young boy over multiple years. The victim was reportedly nine years old when Koldis' crimes began.
The second defendant in the case, Joshua White, pleaded guilty to distributing and possessing child sex abuse images in 2023. His sentencing is scheduled for December 12.
In addition to her prison time, U.S. District Judge Mae D’Agostino imposed special assessments totaling over $55,000 and ordered Koldis to serve a 15 year term of post-release supervision. She will additionally have to pay $5,000 in restitution and register as a sex offender upon her release.
