Hyperion Limassol, Europe’s tallest Ferris wheel: new milestones, unforeseen delays

We are proud to report that each week brings us closer to realising our vision for Hyperion Limassol. With a new brand identity in place, including an updated logo and architectural refinements, our team is more committed than ever to making this project a reality.

However, we are currently facing strange and concerning delays in receiving the final approval from the Law Office of the Republic of Cyprus. These delays have now stretched beyond five weeks, leaving us and our stakeholders anxious and uncertain.

As one of our stakeholders shared: “Despite the backing of all key ministers and the president himself, the unusual delay in our approval process has been both unexpected and concerning. We have been waiting for over five weeks, and while we respect the need for thorough legal procedures, the lack of clarity has placed us in a challenging position. Our team is fully prepared to break ground and deliver this iconic project, but we require this final step to move forward.”

In spite of these challenges, we remain optimistic and committed. We are targeting a grand opening in 15-17 months and are eager to offer a truly unique experience for both locals and visitors to Cyprus.

Hyperion’s vision

Our vision for Hyperion extends far beyond building a Ferris wheel; it’s about creating an iconic experience for Cyprus.

As one of our key representatives put it: “Hyperion is not just another project for us; it’s an opportunity to build something remarkable. We see it as more than just a ride — it’s an experience that offers breathtaking views and lasting memories.”

We believe Hyperion will become a landmark for Cyprus, drawing tourism and fostering community connections. Despite these current delays, we are confident the project will have a positive impact on both the local economy, as well as the island’s social fabric.
