Showing at WatchTime New York 2024: Perrelet Turbine Ice Blue Collection
Perrelet will present two new additions to its Turbine collection— the Turbine Carbon Ice Blue and Turbine Titanium Ice Blue— at WatchTime New York 2024. Taking place from October 18 to 20 at Manhattan’s Gotham Hall, Perrelet will join over thirty-five other fantastic brands to showcase some of the most important watches of the year to thousands of collectors. The new Turbine Ice Blue models take their inspiration from the iconic Grande Dixence dam in Switzerland, showcasing Perrelet’s signature turbine technology alongside a fresh ice blue aesthetic.
The Turbine Carbon Ice Blue and Turbine Titanium Ice Blue models each use the same base silhouette, differentiated in their sizing and materials. In the Carbon edition, the case measures 44mm in polycarbonate and carbon fiber, enhanced by a black DLC-coated stainless steel bezel and caseback. Meanwhile, the Titanium edition offers a smaller 41mm case diameter produced from Grade 2 titanium, also with a black DLC coating. Both editions are perfectly capable as all purpose wearers, being sturdy in construction and equipped with a 100m water resistance.
As a signature of the brand and this collection in particular, both timepieces are defined by Perrelet’s turbine technology visible via the dial, which features 12 anodized aluminum blades that rotate with the slightest movement of the wrist. In the Carbon, the lower dial showcases a tone-on-tone ice blue turbine motif, revealed as the blades spin. The dial is further accentuated by a Californian-style chapter ring with a mix of Arabic, Roman numerals, and stick indices. The Titanium presents a similar design, with a black turbine contrasted by an ice blue lower dial and a black hour track, adding depth and visual interest.
Both models feature luminescent hour and minute hands, a blue central seconds hand, and Super-LumiNova-filled indices for optimal legibility in low-light conditions. The combination of ice blue and black across the dials creates a striking look— unique in its tone and striking in its execution.
Inside both Turbine models is Perrelet’s calibre P-331-MH. Manufactured by Perrelet’s sister company Soprod, the movement is a general workhorse for the Turbine collection, performing solidly with a frequency of 28,800 vph and a 42-hour power reserve. The mechanism has received dual chronometry certifications from COSC and Chronofiable, adding to its timekeeping credentials. An exhibition caseback reveals the open-worked, rhodium-plated oscillating weight of the automatic movement, which is adorned with the Perrelet logo and finished with brushed details.
The new Perrelet Turbine Carbon Ice Blue and the Turbine Titanium Ice Blue are both available now for $5,250 USD.
