According to OHP, Trooper Seth Hudson made a traffic stop on the Will Rogers Turnpike on September 19. A man allegedly kidnapped a woman, stabbed her and was trying to force her to drive him to Tulsa.

Trooper Hudson worked with the Newton County Sheriff's Office in Missouri to conduct the traffic stop. He was able to save the female victim and take the suspect into custody.

Officials say Trooper Hudson has been honored as the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Trooper of the Month for his quick actions when handling a potentially dangerous criminal.
