Police looking for suspects in Friday morning New Iberia burglary
NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) -- The police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect or suspects in a business burglary Friday morning.
Officers with the New Iberia Police Department responded just after 7:30 a.m. Friday to a business burglary in the 1300 block of East Main Street.
Officers said the suspect cut a lock to gain access into an area fenced off. After gaining access, the suspect drove his vehicle into the fenced-in area and loaded several items into the bed of his truck before driving away.
After reviewing surveillance footage, the vehicle was identified as an older model (possibly mid to late 90s model) white Chevrolet extended-cab truck. The vehicle fled the area traveling east on St. Peter Street from Caroline Street.
