MAFS UK’s most shocking sex confessions from sex act in a restaurant to interrupted honeymoon romp
MARRIED At First Sight UK has never been short of a sexual conversation – with the show’s raunchy antics cementing themselves in reality show history.
From wife-swapping to public sex acts, the brides and grooms over the years have not been shy when talking about this key element of a relationship.
Gemma accused the show of slut-shaming her over her dirty jokes[/caption]The latest series has been no exception – but do they make it to the Hall of Fame?
Here are just some of the most raunchy moments that have aired on the show so far.
Not Feeling It
In 2022, bride Gemma Rose was accused by her husband of performing a sex act in front of him in a restaurant.
Groom Matt Murray had grown increasingly uncomfortable with Gemma’s sexual innuendos and comments, with him walking away out on a dinner during their honeymoon in Lisbon.
During a chat with the experts, Matt declared: “I walked out because you started masturbating in a restaurant over a piece of food that you put in your mouth. I left the restaurant.”
Gemma denied the claims and responded that it was “just her sense of humour”.
Gemma later claimed she felt ‘slut-shamed’ by both her ex and the experts.
Matt cheated on Gemma with Whitney[/caption]Wife Swapping
In another scandalous moment from Matt, he and Gemma split after it came to light he had slept with another bride from the show, Whitney.
Whitney got married to Duka on the series, but they didn’t get off to the best start when she mocked his name.
Matt denied having an affair with Whitney, saying that he and Gemma “weren’t even talking” and had been split for seven days before he hooked up with someone else.
Buzzing Off
Another from the 2023 gang, Thomas Kriaras and Rosaline Darlington (known as Rozz) indulged in some risky behaviour during a group dinner.
While the others enjoyed their slap-up meal, Rozz was wearing a vibrating love egg, which Thomas had the controls of and could turn off-and-on at will.
Thomas later said he was following up on what expert Charlene Douglas had told them.
Thomas admitted: “We took Charlene’s advice on board and we introduced sex toys into our sex lives and it just happened to be at the dinner party with a cheeky love egg.
“We’re not getting into drama tonight because we got more things to be concerned about.”
Sealing the Deal
This year, despite Adam making it absolutely clear to everyone except his bride that he didn’t find her attractive, he still slept with Polly on their wedding night and honeymoon.
During the first commitment ceremony, Adam was called out by the experts for his lack of affection towards Polly.
Quizzed about why he has been cold with her, Adam said he didn’t want to give her the wrong impression.
“If I’m affectionate with her and cuddling kissy with her, I don’t want to give her the wrong idea because I don’t want to hurt her,” Adam explains.
But Paul C Brunson had none of it, firing back: “But you are married and you have already had sex.”
Trying to explain his reasons for having sex with Polly, Adam counters: “That felt natural at the time, you know what I mean?”
“It’s nonsense, my man,” said Paul. “It’s like you want to swim in the pool, but you don’t want to get wet.”
Do Not Disturb
Jay Howard and Luke Worley got off to the races when they got hitched in 2022 – much to the shock of one hotel staffer.
The pair revealed that, while having sex on the honeymoon in Grenada, they were disturbed by a housekeeper banging on their doot.
Later sharing a laugh with the others about the incident, Luke joked that he “felt like a horse in the Grand National who finished second in the race” as they were forced to stop what they were doing.
A Bum Deal
Peggy and Georges left viewers clutching their pearls during 2023’s intimacy week, with Georges confessing a preference to a certain sexual act.
Shocked by the confession, she later relayed what was told to her mum and sister who were just as shocked.
The pair worked it out though, and remained together for nine months after the show before splitting in January 2023.
Married At First Sight continues weekdays at 9pm on E4.
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
