Man shot, arrested after trying to run over three victims in northeast Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- An argument turned violent in east Columbus Saturday morning when a man allegedly attempted to use his vehicle as a weapon and was shot.
Columbus police said Alexander Oglesby, 32, was arrested Saturday after he allegedly attempted to strike three victims with his vehicle during an argument. Although Oglesby is now being held in jail, he was first taken to a nearby hospital after police said one of the victims fired shots at Oglesby, which officers said was in self defense.
Oglesby is charged with three counts of felonious assault, and police said tire tracks at the scene show Oglesby drove at the victims, who were in the grass outside of their residence. The incident took place at the 2000 block of Woodsedge Road in Walnut Creek.
