Man charged with murder after woman found shot in crashed car in Vallejo
A 27-year-old man has been charged with murder in the death of a woman found shot in a crashed car in Vallejo in September.
Omar David Molina Mendoza, 27, of Vallejo, was already in custody at the Solano County Jail on unrelated charges related to the alleged killing, Vallejo Police said.
Police responding to a single-vehicle car crash and reports of gunshots had found the victim, Stephany Lok Poon, in a heavily damaged white Honda Accord just after midnight on Sept. 6. Poon suffered at least one gunshot wound, police said.
Firefighters extricated Poon from the car but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
