Team News: Montrose (H)

There is just one switch in Grant Scott’s Hibernian XI for the visit of Montrose to Meadowbank this afternoon.

Central midfielder Ciara Grant returns to the starting line-up to make her tenth outing for the Hibees.

The Irish international replaces Poppy Lawson after coming off the bench during last weekend’s Sky Sports Cup second round 7-0 victory over Queen’s Park.

Siobhan Hunter skippers the side from defence as she reaches a landmark 300 appearances for her childhood club.

The beloved defender is the only Hibs Women player to have started all 10 competitive fixtures so far this season.

Club captain Rachael Boyle could make her first showing of the season following a long, arduous recovery from an ACL injury sustained in February 2023.

Should Smally set foot on the Meadowbank turf today, it will be her first taste of competitive football in 602 days.

Similarly returning from a frustrating, extended spell on the sidelines is forward Rosie Livingstone.

Rosie’s last match was on 21 April against Glasgow City but after countless hours of recovery across the summer up until today, there is an opportunity for the youngster to get back on the pitch.

Kirsten Reilly is the third returning Hibee. The midfielder started the first six games of the campaign before missing our last three fixtures through injury.

Coming off the bench today would see Kirsten make her 49th Hibernian appearance across two spells.
