Man killed in Downtown Portland early morning shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A man was killed in a shooting in Downtown Portland early Sunday morning, authorities said.

Just after 2:30 a.m., patrol officers and EMS responded to the area of West Burnside Street and Southwest 3rd Avenue after reportedly hearing shots fired.

On arrival, they found a man dead in a parking lot.

Any possible suspects had left the area and no immediate arrests were made, authorities said.

West Burnside Street and Southwest 3rd Avenue were temporarily closed for the duration of the investigation.
