Mechanicville woman accused of stealing Watervliet car
HALFMOON, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Deputies arrested a Mechanicville woman for allegedly stealing a car in Watervliet on Friday. Saratoga County Sheriff's Office arrested Julymar Garcia-Gonzalez, 25, and charged her with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
Deputies said the initial call was for a welfare check for a woman driving a car with an infant in her lap near Walmart on Route 9 in Halfmoon. After an investigation, deputies identified the driver as Garcia-Gonzalez and found the vehicle was reported stolen from Watervliet.
Garcia-Gonzalez was arraigned in Halfmoon Town Court. She was released pending further action.
