Central Texas' Spooky Spots

AUSTIN (KXAN)-- Spooky season is in full swing, here is a look at some spooky fun ways to celebrate across Central Texas.

Skip the pumpkin patch photos or holiday pumpkin painting activities this year for a spooky adventure. Here is a list of spooky things to do this season around Central Texas.

Bat City Scare Grounds

In between Downtown Austin and San Marcos, Bat City Scare Grounds offers a variety of haunted attractions, haunted houses, live music, food, drinks and more.

Ticket prices range between $20 to $40. This event is happening from now until Nov. 2.

Scream Hollow

Located in Bastrop and rated as the Lionsgate #1 haunted house in the nation, Scream Hollow will guarantee a scream this spooky season. Expect to find shops, live music, games, food, spooky museums and four different scary attractions to choose from.

Ticket prices for this event range between $6 to$30 depending on what attraction you wish to be scared of. Scream Hallow is running from now until Nov. 8.

Haunted Atx

Ranked No. 2 in the city of things to do in Austin, Haunted Atx is the only ghost tour on wheels. Take a tour of Austin's historic locations that are known to be haunted and where paranormal activity has been experienced.

Offering private or public group tours in a van or even a hearse. Ticket prices range between $49 and $59, these tours run nightly all year long.

The GAS Station

Another Bastrop staple is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Gas station.

Find film festivals, cult classic events, BBQ, memorabilia and even book a stay in a scary cabin all year round.

Gibson Street Bar

A local Austin bar famous for transforming its look during spooky and Christmas seasons has brought its "Nightmare on Gibson" experience back to the public.

Around this time of year, Gibson Street Bar is transformed into a creepy, spooky, screamful bar offering a variety of drinks with a scary twist.

This special spooky theme will continue at Gibson's all Oct. long, entry is free with a valid I.D.
