Innovative Business Professionals Certificate launched by PwC’s Academy in Partnership with ICAEW

PwC Cyprus is announcing the launch of PwC’s Academy Business Professionals Certificate (BPC) this October.

Developed in partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the BPC is a unique programme designed to equip individuals with the essential business skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in today’s competitive landscape. With classes commencing this month, the inaugural class will graduate in June 2026.

The BPC was created specifically to provide a foundational understanding of core business principles, including accounting, information management, Cyprus Tax, and Cyprus Law, without requiring participants to commit to a full professional qualification.

This offering is especially valuable for individuals who may have little or no accounting background and need a solid introduction to the business world.

The programme, therefore, targets a broad audience: high school graduates who wish to gain business knowledge before deciding on their next steps, as well as university graduates from non-business backgrounds looking to acquire marketable skills for the Cypriot job market.

 Additionally, it offers a valuable reskilling opportunity for individuals considering a career change, and it provides an ideal upskilling pathway for those re-entering the workforce after a career break, such as new mothers.

The BPC is a comprehensive 21-month programme comprising six modules, each of which concludes with an exam.

Participants earn a standalone certificate upon completing each module, and on finishing the entire course, they receive the prestigious BPC certificate.

The modules cover Accounting, Assurance & Ethics, Cyprus Law and Corporate Governance, Cyprus Taxation, Management Information, and Data Analytics, all structured to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of these critical areas.

Cleo Papadopoulou, Chief Learning Officer, expressed excitement for the new certificate, stating, “We are excited to launch PwC’s Academy Business Professionals Certificate (BPC), addressing a market need by offering business skills tailored to the Cypriot market.”
