October rolls along with above-normal temps in Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Enjoy the even warmer weather Monday!

We are just keeping the warm fall weather rolling around our region.

After coming in at 75 degrees for Portland's daytime high on Sunday, we will keep with the above-normal highs trend on Monday. Around the Portland metro area and up and down the Willamette Valley, folks can expect to climb into the 80s for a high Monday, while the Oregon Coast will see temps range from the mid 60s to low 70s with widespread sunshine.

Even as we expect to reach the low 80s in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington on Monday, that doesn't mean you won't need a light jacket or sweatshirt as you head out in the morning. Those morning lows are still expected to hover right around 50 degrees.

So just grab some layers!

The pleasant and dry weather is expected to continue for most of the week with a chance of light rain showers on Tuesday and Wednesday. And then the rain chances increase again on Friday with isolated showers possible.

You shouldn't expect a big rain event, though, at all this week. Looking at Tuesday into Wednesday, weather models are forecasting that Portland will not even see a tenth-inch of measurable rain.
